Digital Qualitative Coding with MaxQDA

MaxQDA is a data analysis tool designed for researchers working with text based or multimedia information. MaxQDA allows you to collect, organize, and analyze the various connections between documents, pictures, audio and video, web pages, and social media data. The introductory workshop will be an overview on the basics of using and understanding MaxQDA for your future research. The introductory course will cover the following topics:

  • General overview of coding and content analysis.
  • Introduction to the MaxQDA interface.
  • Exploration of source analysis.
  • Tools for coding content.
  • Text searching and queries for content analysis.
