Library Research for Natural Hazards: Droughts & Floods (Virtual Workshop)
Princeton University Library’s geosciences collection supports library users researching worldwide natural hazards. Presented by Emily Wild (Chemistry, Geosciences and Environmental Studies Librarian), this workshop is an overview of information sources for the water cycle. Participants will learn how to find real-time data for droughts, wildfires, floods and hurricanes in the United States, Canada, Europe and other areas worldwide available from geological surveys and geosciences research institutions. Prior to joining the Princeton University Library in 2018, Emily worked for about 23 years as a USGS Hydrologist and USGS Librarian (Physical Scientist).
Registration is required: Princeton University students, faculty, staff, researcher can register directly; the public can register by emailing Emily at ewild@princeton.edu.
Attendees will receive the link to the Zoom meeting on the day of the workshop.
