Research in Gender & Sexuality Studies with PUL Primary Materials
Event box
Presented by Sara Howard, Librarian for Gender & Sexuality Studies and Valencia Johnson, Project Archivist for Student Life.
Join Sara Howard and Valencia Johnson for a discussion about research in gender and sexuality studies and some of the primary resources available at PUL. Some researchers come with a primary source in mind and others come in with a topic or area of investigation and need assistance identifying what sources are available. Here at PUL we can help at any point in this process. Whether you are pursuing the certificate in GSS or your research examines intersections of gender and sexuality, Sara is here to help you identify the main scholarly conversations and resources, including a vast array of primary resources housed in PUL’s Special Collections. Valencia will discuss how you can access The Daily Princetonian (The Prince), senior thesis, and student group records. Valencia will also talk about the ACLU records held at Mudd Manuscript Library. Sara will offer some suggestions for finding secondary sources and highlight some digital resources. The 20-minute presentation segment of the webinar will be recorded for sharing on the library website. Following the presentation, participants are encouraged to ask questions relating to individual interests.
Co-sponsored by the Program in Gender and Sexuality Studies. This event is part of the Virtual Research Resources Series.
