Tour of Stokes Library

Come take a tour of the Donald E. Stokes Library located on the Ground floor of Wallace Hall!

Stokes Library is open to all and offers users a serene, quiet space for focus and inspiration. Floor-to-ceiling windows fill the reading room with natural light, and spaces for small and large group meetings are also available. Collections include the Ansley J. Coale Population Research collection, as well as the circulating School of Public and International Affairs (SPIA) book collection which is comprised of books recommended by SPIA faculty for courses over the past decades.

Additionally, the tour includes a new exhibition, The Problem of Colored Lines: Student Debt and Racial Disparities, now on display at Stokes Library. Taking inspiration from the charts and maps created by sociologist W.E.B Du Bois that depict wealth disparities between blacks and whites, The Dignity and Debt Network and the VizE Lab for Ethnographic Data Visualization at Princeton University created a series of data visualizations that convey some of the contemporary research and the social complexities within the issue of student loan debt. Finally, Stokes Library includes the Virtual Reality Studio for those interested in exploring the metaverse via Oculus VR headsets. All are welcome at Stokes Library!
