Swimming in Data: Using Environmental Data for Recreation Activities (virtual)

It is February and I am planning outdoor summer activities with family and friends; then, I start to think a bit. What is the likelihood the lakes will be closed as a result of algal blooms? What will the water temperature be in July for the 90-mile canoe trip throughout the chain of lakes and rivers? Will I experience snow at the (mountain) summit in June, or is August a better month for hiking? When is hurricane season? What is a haboob? Will my GPS work accurately hiking in the mountains or canoeing in the lakes?

This workshop has switched to fully virtual.

This workshop is being offered as part of Princeton University Library's participation in International Love Data Week 2024.
