FPUL Small Talk: Christie Henry, "The Evolution of the Reader"
Event box

Join the Friends of PUL and Christie Henry, Director of Princeton University Press, on Wednesday, January 31 for an insightful discussion around “The Evolution of the Reader.” The book has been described as one of the smartest and most enduring human inventions. And it has coevolved with the human capacity to read, and to write—and to publish. This talk will explore the evolution of the global reader: trends in literacy, reading, book formats, and the many forces shaping the book and how we as readers can shape its future resilience.
Christie Henry is Director of Princeton University Press, and has nearly 30 years experience in university press publishing.
Current Friends of PUL members are invited to attend in person. Registration is required.
The presentation will also be available by Zoom for non-members.
