SFPUL: Tour of the Death Mask Collection and Spooky Special Collections

Join the Student Friends of the Princeton University Library on a tour of the Hutton Death Mask Collection, as well as an array of other spooky items in Special Collections, with Librarian Emma Sarconi.

The collection features death (and life!) masks from many famous figures such as Abraham Lincoln (pictured), Isaac Newton, and more. Additionally, more items will be pulled from Special Collections to complete the spooky season display. After the conclusion of the tour, we will head to Bent Spoon to get treats, courtesy of the SFPUL.

Emma M. Sarconi is a rare book librarian and book historian specializing in the printed book after 1800. As the Reference and Outreach Specialist for Special Collections at Princeton University, Sarconi is continuing her public service work in a rare book library setting through reference, involvement in the Teach With Collections initiative, library projects and events, while also working on projects aimed at telling stories of the women represented in the objects found in Princeton’s Special Collections.
