Friends of PUL: Behind-The-Scenes Tour of Princeton University Library

Join us for a special tour of some of the important but unseen work of PUL at Firestone Library. This 90-minute event will take you through three operations that are key to the library’s traditional and modern services: digitization, preservation and conservation, and cataloging.

We will visit the Digital Studio with Roel Muñoz, Library Digital Imaging Manager, and Kimberly Leaman, Library IT Project Manager, where you will see both traditional and advanced digital imaging processes for our collections. We will also tour the Preservation and Conservation department with Mick LeTourneaux, Rare Books Conservator, and Eli Boyne, Preventive Conservator, and learn about the important work they do to maintain our treasured collections. And, you will meet Hilary Murusmith, Rare Books Cataloging Librarian, to hear about her project to catalog the Library of Jacques Derrida, a project partially funded by the Friends.

Due to space constraints, the tour will be limited to 30 guests and to current Friends members only.  You can email libraryf@princeton.edu to check your membership status or become a Friend today.
