This workshop is designed for Stata users who would like an introduction to the R (RStudio) environment and syntax. In this workshop, participants will learn how to perform basic Stata commands in R (RStudio) helping them understand the structure of the R syntax. This workshop is hands-on and intended for beginners. We will cover the following topics in RStudio: data transfer, data preparation, descriptive statistics, introduction to data visualization, and introduction to linear regression.

Prerequisite for this workshop: some prior exposure to Stata. No previous knowledge of RStudio is required.

Hardware/software prerequisites: By the time the session starts, students must install or have access to RStudio.
